The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has warned the public of more rainfall, accompanied by thunder, lighting and high winds throughout the country from today to August 15.
MOWRAM made the warning in an announcement on new weather forecast made public this morning.
According to the announcement, during the said period, the temperature would vary between 24 to 35 degrees Celsius in the central low land areas, and from 23 to 36 for highland areas.
For the coastal areas, it pointed out, the temperature would range between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius.
Cambodia’s climate is governed by the monsoon winds, which define two major seasons. From mid-May to early October, the strong prevailing winds of the southwest monsoon bring heavy rains and high humidity. Phal Sophanith – AKP
